Alina Mihai

I was born and raised in Romania and spent most of my adult life in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I lived and worked for over two decades. In the summer of 2025, I returned to Europe — and to Romania specifically — to reconnect with my roots and allow this place to support the next chapter of my life and work. I am a Conscious Communication and Embodied Intimacy coach and facilitator. After more than 20 years of working with communication, embodiment, and relational practices, I created a relational practice called EMBREIS. EMBREIS supports people in reconnecting with themselves, feeling more alive in their bodies, and relating from greater honesty, clarity, and wholeness. The practice weaves together Nonviolent Communication, Authentic Relating, somatic awareness, and partner-based practices that have shaped me both personally and professionally. My work is driven by a simple question: how can humans meet each other more truthfully and more fully, without hiding, performing, or losing themselves? I’m interested in practical, embodied ways of cultivating presence, emotional maturity, and real connection — in everyday life, not just in ideal conditions. I have organized and facilitated workshops and retreats in the US and Sweden, and I now feel called to bring this work to Romania. I’m based in Cluj, a city I appreciate for its diversity, intellectual curiosity, and growing interest in more conscious ways of relating. My vision is to co-create a local community of practice — spaces where people can slow down, show up as they are, and learn to relate with greater awareness, responsibility, and care. This work unfolds through workshops, shared practice spaces, and longer-form gatherings over time. Alongside my work with EMBREIS, I also work as a Personal Brand Strategist, supporting people in expressing who they are with clarity and coherence across their work and life.
