Paying attention to the news can stir up a lot of emotions, emotions that don't often have a healthy outlet. So often, discussions of current events turn into frustrating arguments or end in helpless shrugs. Rather than fostering debate or brainstorming solutions, this gathering is intended to provide a space for people to understand and articulate how we hold the headlines in our minds, hearts, and bodies. Drawing on the frameworks of Nonviolent Communication and Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects, we'll spend some time in quiet reflection, paired dialogues, and contemplative journaling in order to explore and express our feelings about what it's like to live through this time of crises big and small. Facilitation will be in English, with opportunities for discussion and writing in English or Romanian. 📍Where? Education Studio, Cluj-Napoca, str. Saturday the 28th of February, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM 🙋 Facilitator: Anthony Sorge is a teacher, writer and Education Studio volunteer with twenty years of experience teaching English language and literature.
